About Me

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Connecticut (LCSW) & Massachusetts (LICSW). I am certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).

Experience

I specialize in individual therapy for trauma, anxiety and depression. Besides those areas, I have clinical experience with a diverse and wide range of diagnoses, most prominently with sleep disorders, bipolar and psychotic-related disorders, substance-use disorders and personality disorders.

My work has often involved addressing the impact of systemic oppression including (but not limited to) racism, ableism, homophobia and transphobia and on unlearning beliefs associated with these. I am a Health at Every Size provider, I do not subscribe societal expectations of what our bodies should look like, and believe that we should be the only ones to determine what our bodies need. I support folks navigating LGBTQ+ identities.

Professional & Educational Background

I've worked in several settings including crisis stabilization, intensive outpatient programs, and therapy with couples and groups.

I received my Masters of Social Work from Smith College School for Social Work in Northampton, Massachusetts. I recieved my BA in Psychology with a minor in Women & Gender studies from Emmanuel College in Boston, Massachusetts.

Who I Am

I'm Sarah, I'm a cis-gendered woman and my pronouns are she/her. I love nature and walking outside, meditating, dancing, spending time with pets, yoga, watching movies, seeing wildlife, swimming, laughing, waterfalls and star-gazing.
